Dr Tony Dare graduated from the University of Queensland in 1976 and began his career working as a GP on the Gold Coast. He then trained as a Pathologist at the Mater and Princess Alexandra Hospitals in Brisbane. Dr Dare spent two years in Maryborough before commencing at the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane, where he worked as a Consultant Pathologist and the Director of Anatomical Pathology.

Since 1996, Dr Dare has worked at QML Pathology assuming the position of Pathologist in Charge of Gold Coast and Northern Rivers. Dr Dare has published multiple scientific papers in peer reviewed journals covering pathology of skin, heart and lung.

His current special interests are in skin and gynaecologic pathology.
